Crisis, Austerity and Rising Xenophobia in Greece: Teachers’ perceptions of the socio-economic crisis and its implications on Greek national identity

The 2008 economic crisis had truly global consequences but its impact was perhaps felt most quickly and most severely in Greece. This study explores the everyday struggles of teachers caught within the growing uncertainty of an education system intended to bring people together and yet characterized by anxiety and conflict.
